Fort Worth selects Radiant RFID to track city assets

The City of Fort Worth, Texas has partnered with Radiant RFID to utilize its asset tracking solution, Virtual Asset Tracker, to inventory and locate all items purchased by the city using federal grant money.
The city is using the Motorola MC3090-Z RFID handheld running the latest release of Virtual Asset Tracker. RFID tags include a variety of sorts, each providing for a desired read ranges on plastic, metal and other surfaces.
Virtual Asset Tracker is a solution of software, RFID hardware and RFID tags that enable the city to track everything from radios to computers to the robots used by bomb disposal units – anything funded by federal grants.
