Fujitsu Frontech North America, a division of Japan-based biometrics and other technology developer Fujitsu, announced they have been selected along with 29 others to demonstrate their technology at the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee Kickoff Technology Policy Exhibition later this month.
The technology that Fujitsu will be demonstrating at the exhibition is their PalmSecure palm vein authentication technology that uses a near ultraviolet light to capture the unique pattern of veins in a user’s hand.
Specifically, the technology will be shown in relation to its applications in health care and how it works with partners in the health care industry to secure and streamline electronic health records. Other work the PalmSecure technology, which is housed in patient kiosks, is capable of include verify patient identity, speed-up check-in, update patient records and make co-payments.
