GAO releases ‘ultra-rugged’ UHF reader

GAO RFID has announced the release of its “ultra-rugged” UHF EPC Class 1 Gen 2 RFID reader. The reader boasts a read range of 7 meters in open space and up to 11 meters in an indoor confined area and has successfully undergone drop testing from 1.5 meters on 6 sides.
The reader also features a read rate of 150 tags per second, operates under all RFID frequency bands, and supports WiFi, USB and RS232 connections.
Other features include a QWERTY keyboard, vertically and horizontally linear polarized antennae, 3.5inch color touch screen, SD slot, trigger button on the handle and the ability to perform bar code scanning.
