GAO RFID announced a new 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz dual frequency RFID reader designed to be primarily used for access control, system logon/logoff and the identification and authorization of system operators by scanning the user’s RFID enabled card.
The simple to use dual frequency RFID reader, model 211004, enables the user to read a wider variety of RFID cards used for authorization/login to POS (point-of-sale) terminals or any device that requires security prior to being used.
The compact RFID reader is an ideal system logon key that protects against the unauthorized system use. This RFID reader supports multi-detection and offers a high baud rate from 2400bps to 19200bps.
It reads a variety of RFID cards compliant with ISO 14443A Mifare MF, Ultralite, DESfire. The compact unit reads a unique serial number and communicates with a PC via RS232 interface. In addition, it is powered by 5 V DC 150 mA to support a continuous operation.
