GAO unveils portable livestock tracker

GAO RFID Asset Tracking released a new 134 kHz RFID reader compliant with half duplex (HDX) protocol, most commonly used monitoring and tracking livestock.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, the low frequency model 222004 is encased in ABS plastic and endures temperatures from -30 to 85. It features a HD LCD backlit display, with a baud rate of 57,600 bps and provides audible feedback upon successful operation.
GAO’s HDX RFID reader is designed with various applications in mind such as access control, time and attendance, industrial automation, process control, logistics, and supply chain management. But with it half duplex protocol compliance it is more so developed for livestock tracking. Providing electrostatic discharge protection, to meet FCC and CE requirements, data can be collected and then transferred to any PC using a standard USB interface.
