GlobalPlatform announced that it will hold a two-day card specification training session March 1-2 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
Directly preceding CARTES North America 2012 (March 5-7, Las Vegas), the training session will aim to educate CARTES delegates and other participants on the importance of GlobalPlatform Specifications, their capabilities and functionality.
This training session is the sixth that GlobalPlatform has held in the US since launching the program three years ago.
According to Kevin Gillick, executive director of GlobalPlatform, this year’s session will have a “mobile focus” and detail how GlobalPlatform’s technology outlines a common, neutral environment to facilitate the delivery of mobile services over-the-air to consumers.
Delegates will also receive an explanation of GlobalPlatform Card Specifications, including details on secure channels, security domains and application programming interfaces.
The training session is open to both GlobalPlatform members and non-members at a fee of $1,595 and $2,195, respectively.
