Greenville middle school students returning back from the holiday break will be greeted with a new ID badge policy, reports SunHerald.com.
Students will be required to have the badges to ride the school bus, eat lunch, enter school and school related events. District employees are also required to wear ID badges.
Used for safety and security, Greenville schools superintendent Harvey Franklin Jr. said that the student badges seemed to have worked well at the high schools and is so being expanded to middle school.
At the high school student badges are color-coded with each grade having a different color – i.e. gold for ninth graders and blue for juniors.
