GuardRFID announced that it has completed development of its 433MHz active RFID staff tag – designed to enable real-time location, safety and security applications in health care, enterprise security, and industrial environments.
The GaurdRFID ST-series tag family enables duress call systems in hospitals and staff location including detection of direction of travel of staff in buildings. The tags and GuardRFID’s active RFID system also enable hands-free access control for locations requiring multi-level security.
The series will also include a low profile article tag to secure equipment such as laptops and computers. The active RFID system locates the article tag and then the two-way communication and indicators quickly help identify the specific piece of equipment requiring service.
The family of tags offers 12-month user-replaceable batteries, configurable buttons, two-way communications, and fall-detection all in a thin ID-badge form factor. And the staff tag can be worn like a standard ID-badge and can be adhered to a proximity card without hindering performance.
