To ensure proper transport to its destination and to better enforce compliance with trade regulations, all bonded cargo arriving at Ghana’s ports will be electronically sealed and monitored with Hi-G-Locks from Hi-G-Tek Inc.
The Hi-G-Lock, a portable and reusable electronic seal, uses highly intelligent RFID wireless technology to provide robust physical security, as well as automatic processing and real-time monitoring of secured cargo both in transit and in storage.
Embedded sensors prevent any attempt at opening, bypassing, or tampering with the Hi-G-Lock. If the system detects any such attempt, it records the event and sends an alert to the proper personnel.
The data terminal saves the electronic manifest of the sealed cargo into the electronic seal’s memory. The information can include vehicle ID, container and invoice numbers, cargo descriptions, quantities and destinations.
In low-frequency short-range mode, the Hi-G-Lock logs and communicates data through a hand held data terminal and can also be inspected or set by a small key fob, or Micro Reader. The high frequency long-range mode provides full two-way read/write data communication capabilities at a distance of 100+ meters.
