HID Global announced an expanded portfolio of RFID asset tracking solutions designed to meet the demands of industries including logistics, automation and manufacturing, medical and health care, returnable transport items and waste management.
These latest additions to the company’s RFID portfolio deliver enhanced performance with smaller form factors, expanded memory storage, extended read ranges and optimized resistance to harsh conditions.
With a variety of advanced transponder solutions that span across the spectrum from low frequency to high frequency to ultra-high frequency (UHF), these recent tag innovations from HID include:
-
InLine Tag Ultra: an advanced general-purpose UHF tag which employs the patented HID Global 3D antenna to enable read ranges of up to a 26 ft (8 m) with no line-of-sight, noticeably improving data collection speed and accuracy for logistics applications.
-
SlimFlex Tag: a flexible thermoplastic elastomer housing enables secure mounting of tags on contoured or irregular surfaces, while maintaining RFID performance, even under harsh conditions.
-
IronTag: originally developed for tracking aircraft parts, this tag performs when attached to metal objects and withstands temperatures to 356° F (180° C), making it ideal for tagging tools, metal components, factory machinery and heavy equipment.
With a fast data rate communication and a variety of housings to suit unique environmental requirements, this expanded portfolio of HID Global tags aims to provide customers with a highly distinguishable set of solutions for logistics and asset tracking around the world.
