The new $6.7 million Allam Marine offices building in East Yorkshire, U.K., has ordered iEvo’s biometric fingerprint readers with Lumidigm multispectral imaging sensors for building access control.
Allam Marine opted for a biometric access control system over a card-basd access system due to difficulty tracking cards through loss or swapping and easy card breakage.
The installation featured a Boon Edam Circlelock entrance for standard access. Secondary opening actions can be done from dedicated readers throughout the building. The system features a way to keep the circle lock open for corporate open days, and it has full biometric accountability.
Employees will register their fingerprint with they first join the business. This print then serves as the identifier, which the employee uses at the reader. Upon being granted access, he gets through the first door of the Circlelock. Once the sliding doors close, the second door in the system will open. The system also functions the same way for the exiting process.
This system has also been installed at two premiership football grounds and in buildings in the Canary Wharf district in London.
