IDenticard® Forms Business Alliance with SchoolTech
Lancaster, PA (June 4, 2002) – IDenticard, a leading producer of security identification, digital imaging and access control systems, today announced a new business relationship with School Technology Management (“STM”), provider of administrative software, technology integration and management services to elementary, secondary and high schools. The new collaboration will provide powerful new marketing opportunities for both companies. IDenticard will market STM security software as an add-on to its own systems. In turn, STM technology will enable IDenticard to offer attendance tracking options that complement IDenticard security systems.
“I am excited about this new partnership,” said John Amatruda, president and founder of STM. “STM gains significant marketing power through the support of IDenticard’s national sales force, which will promote STM software together with IDenticard hardware. At the same time, STM provides IDenticard with tailor-made scanning and attendance tracking software technology, products IDenticard did not offer to clients previously.”
STM’s flagship product, the Comprehensive Attendance, Administration, and Security System (CAASS) is one of the first computer systems in the country that records attendance and provides a level of security as students enter a school. Schools that utilize CAASS technology have become safer, seen dramatic improvements in attendance and class cutting figures, and become eligible for increases in federal and state funding.
“CAASS is the perfect complement to our product offering,” said Gary Funck, vice president of marketing for IDenticard. “It will enable us to offer a complete security solution to current and prospective clients, giving them both the hardware and the software necessary to address their security and attendance tracking needs.”
Established in 1970 and with corporate offices located in Lancaster, PA (USA), IDenticard maintains field sales offices with direct sales representatives in 29 major U.S. cities, a Canadian affiliate headquartered near Toronto and local sales offices in six Canadian provinces, and a partner network encompassing some 300 of the world’s leading systems integrators and security systems installation specialists.
