Identive Group has rolled out a new family of multi-protocol Legic card readers to meet the demand in corporate, campus and other environments for readers to handle multi-function ID cards.
Based on the advant 4000 reader IC technology from Legic Identsystems, Identive’s new readers work with a variety of smart card formats to support multiple applications, including secure access to networks and shared office equipment, ID credential authentication, cashless payment, loyalty and others.
Identive’s Legic line includes a desktop reader, reader modules for integration with vending machines, kiosks and production lines, as well as a small-profile reader module for handheld terminals.
Its contactless readers equipped with Legic’s advant 4000 chip technology, offers backwards compatibility, full compliance to smart ID and access card standards, including ISO 14443 and ISO 15693 and interoperability with other chip and card technology such as NXP’s Mifare family and Sony’s FeliCa.
