IE plug-in manages passwords with biometric security

A new Plugin for the Web browser Internet Explorer has been developed allowing the user to store his passwords for online sites and applications and replace them with a biometric template, according to a ZDNet article.
The application, called my-iWallet, enables users to basically convert any password-based authentication system online into a biometric one where the my-iWallet will authenticate biometrically and log-in for the user using the designated user ID and password. My-iWallet is capable of utilizing face, finger or voice biometrics, however, for fingerprint scans, additional hardware may be needed.
