Zerco Systems is offering a turnkey biometric worker ID solution so companies can show proof of qualifying and authenticating their legal workers in order to prevent closures, shutdowns, and lost time due to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The stand-alone on-site optical plastic ID card does not require linking to a central computer system to verify worker identity. The card contains biometric identifiers of fingerprints, facial recognition, signature, voice prints, and iris scans.
Zerco Systems Offers Biometric Solution to Immigrant Worker ID Problem
Brookfield – With companies facing millions of dollars in shutdown losses due to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and related closures while their workforce is being checked for illegal immigrants, such as happened to Swift and Company, Zerco Systems is offering a turnkey Biometric Worker ID solution so companies can show proof of qualifying and authenticating their legal workers.
John A. Niotti-Soltesz, Chairman and CEO of Zerco Systems International Inc., said, “Companies face challenges and are at risk regarding immigrant worker identification requirements. Zerco offers a stand-alone on-site Worker ID management solution, using advanced biometric technology to qualify workers and better protect companies from regulatory actions that might result in shutdowns, lawsuits, penalties, loss of company reputation and a lessening in the brand values that built.”
ICE, in its most widely reported action of checking worker immigrant status, last December raided six Swift plants in six states, arresting more than 1,200 immigrant workers and stopping production and this year another ICE raid at Swift resulted in 19 more arrests.
“Companies in industries with large immigrant workforces face similar actions, said Niotti-Soltesz, who added, “The turn-key Zerco system of biometric ID for workers will demonstrate that companies are working within all reasonable means to qualify and authenticate workers, resulting in a more safe environment, lessened closures and improved worker efficiency and company operations during this trying time in our nation’s history.”
Niotti-Soltesz said, “Zerco’s biometric ID solution can help companies manage risk with versatile tamper resistant ID cards for immigrant workers. Shutdowns can cost millions in lost output and expenses and penalties, including criminal action, add to that loss. Employers must act now since they cannot afford to wait for the Government to address the technology protocols.”
He said, “Zerco Systems has the technology solution to address the dilemma that employers face since the stand-alone on-site biometric Employee Worker Identity Card solution system does not require linking to a central computer system to verify worker ID information.”
Zerco’s ID solution includes tamper resistant, memory-rich optical ID cards and readers to instantly interpret information embedded in the plastic cards, enabling companies to show that they are taking all steps to qualify immigrant workers as legally in the U.S. Zerco’s ID cards contain vast data, including the biometric identifiers of finger prints, facial recognition, signature, voice prints and iris scans.”
Niotti-Soltesz said among problems companies face in worker ID matters are business interruption if employee records or employees are detained or examined; short or long-term closure; civil fines; criminal penalties; discrimination lawsuits; enforcement actions; unfair labor practice lawsuits; loss of federal contracts and goodwill loss through reputation and brand image damage.
