Indiana medical center deploys Ekahau RTLS
Ekahau Inc. announced that Clarian Health, an academic medical center in the state of Indiana, is deploying its real-time locating system to include applications for asset tracking, staff safety, patient flow and temperature management.
An initial 10,000-tag deployment is scheduled for November and will target the health care system’s three downtown Indianapolis hospitals – Methodist Hospital, Indiana University Hospital and Riley Hospital for Children.
The solution consists of the Ekahau Positioning Engine and Vision software coupled with Wi-Fi tags and sensors, and will enable Clarian to manage assets and processes across all facilities from a single location.
Leveraging Clarian’s existing Cisco Wi-Fi network, clinicians will be able to quickly locate tagged assets so they can spend less time searching for medical equipment and more time providing care at patients’ bedsides.
