Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, manufacturer of Schlage contactless smart credentials and readers, has announced a new smart phone app designed to aid in the installation, maintenance and operation of the company’s security technology.
According to IRST, the free app provides access to Schlage “How-To” videos from YouTube, Install and User Guides, as well as data sheets for the Schlage AD-Series and CO-Series locking systems. Customers can even call the Customer Care Center directly from the app.
Users can download information on changing the lock handing, upgrading a standalone, offline AD-Series locking system into a wireless networked lock, or how to migrate a credential reader from proximity to a smart card
“Instead of trying to find the right person to call or becoming frustrated with searching, users of these apps can get the information they need on the Schlage AD-Series and CO-Series locking systems directly from their smart phones,” explains Raj Venkat, vice president, marketing for IRST.
iPhone, iPad and Android smart phone users can get the app by searching “Schlage” in the App Store or Android Market.
