Intellitix, a provider of smart solutions for smart events, has launched its second generation of access control entrance devices, the MiniPortal. Portable and quick to deploy, the units are pre-configurable, enabling event organizers to adopt and quickly deploy a ‘plug and play’ RFID access control system.
Complimenting Intellitix’s signature full-scale entrance portals – which remain the preferred solution for high volume, large scale entrances – the MiniPortal aims to bring RFID access control to a wider variety of live events. The MiniPortal additionally offers the benefits of the RFID environment, including cashless payment systems and social media integration.
The units offer the same fast RFID chip reading speeds, along with LED and sound indicators, but can be powered by PoE (Power over Ethernet) or USB, making them simple and fast to use. Mounted into frames of any shape or size, the MiniPortal offers event organizers a more customized and economical RFID access control system.
Since 2011, Intellitix has activated over 2.5 million RFID chips at live events in North America, Europe and the Middle East. The company has offices in Montreal, Denver and London, and recently celebrated the inauguration of an office in Sydney.
