Worried about ingesting toxic chemicals – or RFID – with your beef?
Fear not, say technologists developing an RFID-based “ink” to tag cattles with in the U.S. and abroad. The stuff is safe.
Sure, we understand why tagging cattle is a great application (can you say “Mad Cow Disease prevention”?!!) But why invisible ink?
Many ranchers say they prefer it to make life more difficult for cattle thieves. With the invisible ink, they’ll have a more difficult time telling which animals have been marked, according to reports. Today, cattle are often tracked with ear tags.
