Ireland Signs €18m Fingerprinting Contract

An Garda Síochána and the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service have signed a contract that will replace their current fingerprinting solution for the Office of the Refugee Application Commissioner (ORAC) as well as – eventually – updating fingerprinting technologies throughout other branches of government. The winning bid came from Accenture, with the aid of Irish biometrics firm Daon, as well as Motorola. Click here for the full story on the new contract.
