Jim Roberts and Jerry Romano Retire from CPI Card Group
CPI Card Group is pleased to announce the newest member of our sales team, Jay Schwisow. Jay joins CPI as a National Accounts Manager. Formerly holding positions as Vice President of Information Systems, and Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Teraco, Inc., Jay brings 11 years of high level card industry experience and a wealth of information to our company. He has pioneered some industry standards, and has a strong understanding of the card manufacturing process, including relationships with equipment and material suppliers. Jay’s focus will be on assisting existing reseller accounts, working with developing a number of new resellers and also bringing new business to our California facility.
After 34 years in the card industry, Jerry Romano is retiring, this time for real. After retiring for only 90 days from an 18- year career as a Regional Manager for Datacard, Jerry joined CPI Card Group to work with our ISG customers. Before employment with Datacard, Jerry spent 11 years with Addressograph/Multigraph, as Jerry puts it, “the original card company.”
CPI has been fortunate to share the knowledge and experience of Jim Roberts, an Account Manager for the North Mid-West for the last six years. Jim brought us years of expertise from his former 20 plus-year career as an executive with Datacard. His history with many of us in the industry goes back several years. Even though Jim is retiring from CPI, he says he is definitely not “retiring from life.” He has no immediate plans, but is ready for the next adventure that finds him, even possibly a new career.
