The Jones Apparel Group has announced the launch of a pilot program testing the use of item-level RFID tracking in a number of its Nine West retail stores. The test will evaluate the benefits item-level tracking brings to the shoe retailer in the areas of enhanced productivity, customer service and inventory accuracy.
The company has teamed with a number of players in the RFID industry to create the pilot program, including Vue Technology for software solutions, Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Business for RFID readers and antennas, Avery Dennison for tags and printers, inCode Wireless for integration and installation of the elements, and RFID Sherpas LLC for analysis of the project.
