Contactless smart card provider LEGIC Identsystems, Switzerland, has partnered with the French company Cash Systèmes Industrie, a specialist in the design and manufacturing of POS terminals, that will allow the company to integrate LEGIC technology into its payment terminals. LEGIC multi-applications will thus be more accessible to end users in France where secure personal identification solutions are increasingly being required, such as in hotels and retail establishments.
The new partnership opens the way to new e-payment applications for end users in France. Cash Systèmes Industrie has elected to integrate LEGIC contactless smart card technology into its POS terminals for all cashless transactions. Hoteliers, caterers and canteens will be able to use these terminals to offer their customers more secure and modern means of payment.
“For a French company like ours, which specializes in point of sale terminals, it was a deciding factor to be able to rely on contactless payment technology which is perfectly secure, proven, and recognized throughout the entire world,” said Alain Bessou, president & marketing director of the French company.
“France is a key market for LEGIC. In Cash Systèmes Industrie, we have found a robust partner with whom we envisage a long-term future which will help to better satisfy the needs of LEGIC end users in France,” said Otto Eggimann, vice president sales & business development for LEGIC.
