London black cabs are introducing a new payment scheme that allows passengers to pay for fares up to £15 with a tap of their Visa contactless debit or credit cards, according to uk.autoblog.com.
Customers will also be able to pay for fares with EMV cards at terminals located in the back of the cab, meaning they won’t have to risk handing their card over to the driver.
The system, supported by Transport for London, will be trialled on 80 cabs.
