Marseilles to roll out contactless cards for entire public transit network

Marseilles, France has chosen ASK to supply contactess Transpass cards for the city’s public transit system.
The new cards will be used on all the city’s transportation services, including Metro, tramway, bus, bikes, and sea shuttles, and within the 18 towns and cities of the Marseilles Provence Metropolis Urban Community (CUMPM).
Transpasses are designed to be interoperable with the other regional networks such as the County Council and French National Railways.
ASK will also provide paper tickets for passengers wishing to purchase rides one at a time.
According to ASK, Marseilles is first French metropolis to implement contactless paper tickets for the millions of its occasional users on a large scale.
