Medical Council of India wants smart cards for teaching faculty to ensure qualifications

To ensure that doctors in India who have completed their post-graduate degrees from state unrecognized colleges don’t get jobs as teachers, the Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided to implement RFID-based access control smart cards for the faculties of medical colleges. This card will have the photo of the individual, degrees obtained by him, signature of the individual and faculty number in that specialty allotted by MCI duly signed by the authority of MCI.
