Morpho has teamed up with Moneo Payment Solutions to launch the new “MoneoPass by Morpho” contactless card.
Morpho designed the cards to be used by local authorities, universities, businesses and transport operators for a variety of applications, including payments, transportation, access management and control, event tickets, ID badges, catering, loyalty cards and more.
MonoePass is the successor to Morpho’s BMS 2 contactless card, which is widely used on university campuses in Europe. According to Morpho, this new version is compliant with the Calypso transport standard – widely used throughout France and in a number of European countries – and contains PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) keys that enable high security applications.
Morpho says the new cards can be rolled out quickly to “pave the way” for the arrival of NFC-enabled mobile handsets, which will be able to provide all of the aforementioned services.
