NuVision Networks has rolled out its second-generation Campus Center for use in its CampusONE operating systems. Campus Center is a customizable Web portal used by colleges and universities to help streamline One Card use across campus.
The center enables cardholders to view account balances and transaction history, transfer money between accounts or place a lost or stolen card on hold instantly. In addition, guests or parents can login with cardholder defined guest access to deposit funds.
“We realize people are accustomed to conducting business online and are thrilled to be able to give students, and all cardholders, the option to buy tickets, pay fines or even order food from campus eateries from a single website,” said NuVision President Bill Adoff.
Campus Center is included as part of NVN’s standard issue One Card Suite and includes account management, e-commerce, fee and fine payments, ticket box office access, parking registration a student directory and a help desk.
“Campus Center…has cut down on formerly laborious tasks, like student voting,” said Alverne W. Chesterfield, assistant vice president for administrative affairs at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, one of the schools chosen to test drive the new system, and a Campus Center user since 2002.
