Oberthur Technologies announced that its latest generation of PIV cards, ID-One PIV has been listed on the General Services Administration Approved Products List. The GSA APL serves as a guide for US Federal Government Agencies to assure that the products and services they are purchasing are in compliance with the current guidelines and technical specifications.
Oberthur Technologies’ ID-One PIV is a physical and logical security access card solution that provides identity proofing, general authentication services and secures post issuance management. It offers a fingerprint match-on-card implementation, which provides the ability to perform cardholder verification and authentication inside the card.
It is validated by both FIPS 140-2 and Minex II, and features include stronger cryptographic algorithms, key history and iris image from SP800-73-3.
