OmniPerception receives funding for facial recognition efforts

OmniPerception, a UK-based biometrics developer, has announced it has received funding from Iris Capital, Pentech Ventures and Blue Star Capital for more than $1.5 million, according to an Info 4 Security article.
Among the intents of the funding is to help bring facial recognition solutions such as CheckPoint.S to market.
CheckPoint.S is a facial recognition surveillance system that is designed to alert personnel of person’s of interest entering a surveillance area within seconds of their being there.
