Tyfone, a provider of mobile banking and contactless payment solutions, announced that Orange County’s Credit Union (OCCU) is using Tyfone’s u4ia platform to provide OCCU’s customers with mobile banking services.
Within the first two weeks of the service’s launch, almost 3% of OCCU’s 97,000 members have already signed up, with more than 55% of the active mobile banking members using at least two out of the three modes (SMS, App, and mobile web).
Tyfone says its mobile banking platform is designed to increase profitability and bring credit union members and their financial institutions closer together by making banking possible from any place at any time.
The company also says it is considering adding NFC contactless mobile payment capabilities to the service.
OCCU’s mobile applications are now available in the Android Marketplace and iPhone App Store.
