Customers using supported, NFC-enabled handsets are able scan specially-designed posters that activates a game on their device for a chance to win a “Quick Tap Treat.” The voucher can be redeemed for a free baguette or piece of fruit at any one of the nearby EAT’s locations.
Supported handsets are said to include the Samsung Tocco Lite, Samsung Wave 578, Samsung Galaxy S II, BlackBerry Bold 9900, BlackBerry Curve 9360, BlackBerry Bold 9790, BlackBerry Curve 9380 and Acer Liquid Express.
From launch in early March, Quick Tap Treats will be available to approximately 200,000 customers. EAT has also partnered with Orange for the operator’s mobile payments scheme called Quick Tap.
