PayPal is top brand for mobile payments

PayPal will have a leg up on the competition as mobile payment systems roll out around the world. According to market research firm GfK, recent surveys suggest that in nine top world markets the brand is the most trusted by consumers.
With the advent of NFC technology and the onslaught of Android phones coming to market later this year, mobile payments will become very popular with consumers as they swipe their phones to make purchases instead of using debit and credit cards.
Even with the relatively new brand, PayPal with its ubiquity and close tie to EBay has cemented itself in a place to take off while competitors struggle to gain traction, according to Stuff.co.nz.
