Pennsylvania food district using biometrics for food service

The Penn Cambria public school district near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is using biometric technology by Food Service Solutions to expedite distribution of lunches. Each of their 1,800 students had to take about one minute to set up their account by getting an initial scan which is then translated into a 27 intersection grid system that will then identify each individual at the point of sale.
