PerSay, a developer of voice biometric technologies, has entered into an agreement with Greek financial, banking and telecommunications software developer Exodus, according to a TMC Net article. The partnership will enable Exodus to improve their products by incorporating voice recognition from PerSay to create more secure authentication for users.
PerSay’s technology is both language and accent independent and operates on one of three methods; VocalPassword, FreeSpeech or Speaker Identification and Detection. Each method requires some different input from the user as VocalPassword requires a simple spoken passphrase or password, FreeSpeech verifies solely off of the voice pattern and requires no password to be spoken and Speaker Identification and Detection which targets a specific voice within a large number of other voices without any necessary passwords spoken.
As voice recognition is seeing increasing use in financial industry telephone-based customer service, Exodus is excited to be able to offer biometric options to their customer base. Additionally, PerSay is seeing this new partnership as a great opportunity to break into the markets in Greece.
