Brazil’s National Institute of Information Technology (ITI) has granted NSH-1 compliance for ICP-Brazil to Watchdata Technologies’ WatchKey USB PKI security token. This is the first USB PKI security token on the market to meet the ITI standards.
ITI’s standards for Brazilian PKI for cryptographic tokens operate under the ICP-Brazil’s Root-CA certification authority. All cryptographic products used in Brazil must meet the technical requirements specified by the standards.
ITI recently made a change in the Root CA to ICP-Brazil V2, which uses 2048 bit keys. The Watchdata token has been the first product to make the transition to meet these changes.
LSI-TEC laboratory conducted the tests for Watchdog in order for it to meet this compliance.
