NFC mobile wallet and mobile technology specialist Proxama has announced a partnership with SMARTRAC that will showcase the potential that NFC can offer to mobile marketing campaigns.
SMARTRAC — a developer, manufacturer and supplier of RFID transponders and inlays— will work alongside Proxama to consult with consumer-facing brands and agencies starting in early 2013.
Both companies are advocates of NFC and mobile phones as an effective means for brands to actively engage with their customers.
Proxama has an established track record of NFC marketing campaigns using its TapPoint online platform and voucher management system. TapPoint has enabled brands, retailers, agencies and media owners to create content for NFC marketing campaigns as well as monitor the results in real time.
The partnership between the two companies hopes to produce demos that will illustrate NFC’s potential as a consumer marketing and brand engagement tool.
Proxama’s recent run of NFC-enabled marketing campaigns includes the likes of Nokia, Orange, 20th Century Fox and VH-1. Focusing specifically on customer engagement, Proxama and SMARTRAC’s campaigns will enable brands to offer a number of additional products and sales incentives to their customers including vouchers, loyalty cards, exclusive content like film trailers or video guides or provide links to social media.
