RSA plans to launch RSA Authentication Manager 8, an access control solution that incorporates strong OTPs and risk-based authentication for enterprise and cloud access.
The product uses a risk-based approach to authentication management with its Risk Engine features that conducts authentication checks against multiple risk factors before granting access to a user. The system uses over 100 risk factors than can be combined in multiple ways to evaluate trust and risk.
The system also utilizes analytics to build user profiles based on device and behavioral characteristics to gain an understanding of a user’s normal behavior patterns and grant or block access accordingly.
Authentication Manager can work in conjunction with RSA SecurID hardware, software and on-demand authenticators. Organizations can use it to invoke strong authentication for temporary employees, contractors and partners.
