Runge & Company, a consulting firm specializing in card issuance systems, says it was instrumental in helping First National Bank and Colorado State University launch the first Visa-branded, unembossed campus card that features Visa debit and ATM functionality, a contactless smart chip for building security, and Visa-approved instant issuance.
The university’s new RamCard Plus program provides an all-in-one ID card good for RamCash campus purchases, campus dining services, library services, admission to the recreation center, and contactless chip-based keyless building access. It also supports Visa debit and ATM capability.
“Runge & Company led the development effort with the goal of creating a RamCard program that will be at the center of student commerce – on and off campus – while providing state-of-the-art campus card functionality,” said Mark Driscoll, First National president. “Runge’s experience enabled us to propose a business partnership with the university that will build high levels of student participation and produce important benefits and financial rewards for both institutions.”
Runge & Company worked closely with First National and Visa to gain approval for the unembossed, flat debit card design that can be instantly issued from the university’s RamCard office.
