SafeBoot, a Naples, Fla. (USA) provider of mobile data security and access control solutions, has launched its Certified Token Partner program, which covers a wide variety of complementary authentication technologies, including smart cards and smart card readers, in a variety of forms– PKI-enabled, USB security tokens, challenge/response tokens, middleware, TPM and biometrics.
NAPLES, FL –SafeBoot, provider of the SafeBoot suite of mobile data security and access control solutions, has launched a formal program that will offer smart card and other authentication product vendors the opportunity to provide user authentication solutions that are certified to be interoperable with SafeBoot encryption solutions. The program, called “SafeBoot Token Partnership Program,” includes mandatory certification for participants and their products.
“After the successful launch of our ASP Partnership Program last year, we are pleased to also meet the demand for a formal Token Partnership Program,” said SafeBoot Vice President of International Business Development Frank Jorissen. “Smart cards, secure USB sticks and other strong authentication methods are becoming increasingly popular. Through partner certification, we will offer our customers a selection of leading-edge user-authentication solutions that are guaranteed to work with SafeBoot.”
The program covers a wide variety of complementary authentication technologies offered by specialized partners, including smart cards and smart card readers, in a variety of forms including PKI-enabled, USB security tokens, challenge/response tokens, middleware, TPM, biometrics and cognometrics.
SafeBoot Device Encryption integrates these secure authentication tokens so users can be authenticated at the pre-boot level (when a protected PC is started and before WindowsT loads its operating system). Other SafeBoot encryption products use the same certified tokens for user authentication at Windows level.
SafeBoot customers using a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) will benefit from deploying the SafeBoot powerful PKI Connector technology to automatically make the SafeBoot environment aware of these PKI tokens – without further provisioning.
With the SafeBoot Token Partner Program, SafeBoot continues to consolidate its position as the leading provider of encryption and access control solutions for PCs and mobile devices such as laptops, PCs, PDAs and smartphones.
Authentication solutions that are integrated into SafeBoot products and guaranteed to interoperate with them will be branded “SafeBoot Certified” products. Manufacturers of SafeBoot Certified products are entitled to carry the “SafeBoot Certified Partner” logo. SafeBoot and its certified token partners will engage in the definition of bundled product propositions for a wide variety of market needs and joint marketing ventures.
