Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies and NEDAP have entered into a partnership to provide a solution that will enable customers to use the same credential for accessing parking structures as used for building access.
NEDAP’s driver-based identification will integrate with Schlage’s MIFARE credentials and Schlage’s HID-compatible proximity credential through use of NEDAP’s in-vehicle Booster device. In conjunction with the NEDAP TRANSIT line of readers, the Booster acts as a mobile reader and transmitter for the card credentials.
This will also extend card read range up to 33 feet at 125 mph while adding vehicle identification to the card data for secure mutual authentication.
