DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., May 24 /PRNewswire/ – School Security Solutions, adivision of non-profit C2T2 Educational Systems, announces a new thirty-day
trial program that allows any school in the United States to try the
SchoolLobby(R) Electronic Visitor Management System. Thousands of corporate
and federal institutions throughout the world currently use EasyLobby(R). Now
this product has been redesigned to address the unique needs of the school
environment. With SchoolLobby(R), K-12 institutions can protect their staff
and students with the same versatile and cost-effective technology.
“Because we are educators ourselves, we understand the safety issues
schools face every day,” says Robert Downs, Executive Vice-President of School
Security Solutions. “We realize how worried administrators, teachers, and
students are today about personal safety while at school. Meanwhile, the U.S.
Department of Justice has said that school administrators report that most of
their security problems and incidents are the result of an unauthorized person
being in a school building. SchoolLobby(R) was designed to address these
particular security concerns.”
SchoolLobby(R) was customized for the school environment from
EasyLobby(R), which recently won several Security Industry Association awards.
SchoolLobby(R) allows schools to use their existing Windows(R) system to track
visitors entering and exiting the school, monitor who they visit, and record
the reason for their visit. The system creates photo visitor badges in
seconds, captures and stores visitor photos, protects valuable visitor
information, easily produces 30 standard visitor reports that can be exported
or emailed, and provides a complete package management system.
The SchoolLobby(R) Custom Kiosk includes everything needed to convert a PC
into a complete electronic visitor management system. The kiosk includes the
SchoolLobby(R) software on CD in a single install program, a Logitech Webcam,
a Corex Cardscan reader, a Dymo 330 desktop label printer, and a platform to
hold the system. (Schools may upgrade their system with a barcode/magnetic
strip reader.)
The kiosk’s price is a one-time fee, ranging from $3295 to $3800.
Multiple building and district-wide discounts are offered. Customer support
is free for the first thirty days and is available after that for a nominal
fee on either a one-year, three-year, or a per incident basis.
To receive a free thirty-day trial of SchoolLobby(R), schools can download
evaluation software at http://www.schoolsecuritysolutions.com or call
toll-free (866) 760-0420 to request an evaluation CD-ROM. Those attending the
National Educational Computing Conference in San Antonio next month can visit
booth 710 to receive a demonstration and request a trial for their school.
