SecuGen and Valid Technologies have announced a technology and marketing partnership to deliver user authentication solutions to IBM enterprise computing customers. As a result of this partnership, the Valid Technologies VSSA Strong User Authentication solution will include support for SecuGen biometric matching technologies and the SecuGen Hamster family of biometric fingerprint readers.
VSSA supports applications and logons on multiple enterprise platforms, including Linux, and Windows. With VSSA, IBM customers can securely supplement or even replace password-based domain logons with “touch-of-a-finger” biometric user authentication.
SecuGen’s Hamster IV fingerprint reader is listed on the GSA Approved Products List and has been FBI certified as meeting the FIPS 201/PIV standard.
