Sequiam Corp.’s web-based print job submission solutions will soon be interfacing with the Blackboard Transaction System to oversee the printing and document management needs for universities and school systems. This new interface will also allow students to use their debit cards to pay for their printing needs.
ORLANDO, Fla./PRNewswire-FirstCall/ – Sequiam Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: SQUM), a leading information management and software technology company specializing in Web-based application services for enterprises, print service providers and the education and travel industries and Blackboard Inc. (Nasdaq: BBBB) today announced a definitive agreement wherein Sequiam will interface its Print It, 123!, Scan It, 123! and Print It 101 Web-based print job submission solutions into the Blackboard Transaction System via Blackboard Building Blocks.
“We are very pleased to be working with Blackboard,” said David Dobkin, President of Sequiam Software. “Blackboard has approximately 1,500 colleges and universities as clients with varying student populations. A typical major university has about 30,000 students on its campus. On average, each student produces about fifty pages per month. A student who chooses the new offering creates new revenue opportunities for both companies.”
Kathy Turany, Vice President, Corporate Development of Blackboard said, “Our relationship with Sequiam further expands the interface capabilities we are able to offer all of our Blackboard Transaction System clients. As a hosted service, Sequiam’s solutions set will be able to meet the growing demand from our client base for an easy-to-use, Web-based print job submission
solution that bears no up-front costs.”
As a result of this agreement, Sequiam will offer services that comprehensively manage the printing and document management needs for universities and school systems in a convenient and cost-effective manner.
Additionally, this new interface will enable a convenient and cost-effective methodology for student printing on university campuses, with the cost of printing being automatically paid using student debit card systems.
With Print It 101, students will be able to initiate a print request from any computer with Internet access, using their university debit card to obtain services using the most appropriate printing resource at the most attractive prices. And with Print It, 123! and Scan It, 123!, faculty and staff at educational institutions will be able to easily access the institution’s print shop or outsourced provider as though it were a locally connected printer, saving time and money, and improving productivity.
