Smart Card Alliance co-sponsors upcoming contactless, mobile payments Webinar

Implementing contactless and mobile payments is the subject of the Smart Card Alliance’s next online seminar about smart card payments. Scheduled for Jan. 13 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET, the Webinar is being produced in partnership with the Electronic Transactions Association.

“The goal of this Webinar is to leave no questions unanswered regarding the implementation of contactless and mobile payments,” said the alliance’s executive director, Randy Vanderhoof. “Attendees will hear about how to develop the business case to support contactless payments and how to implement the new payments approach at the point-of-sale.”
Speakers including Rori Ferensic, ETA; Brent Bowen, INSIDE Contactless; Vanderhoof; Dan Loomis, VeriFone; and Mohammad Khan, ViVOtech.
Attendees can also expect a discussion on the status of merchant acceptance in the U.S., a demonstration of the ROI model developed by the Smart Card Alliance to assist merchants evaluating the business case for investing in contactless payments and a presentation on best practices for POS upgrades, training and support.
This Webinar follows two others in the series dealing with NFC and smart card fundamentals. The fourth and final webinar in the series, “Smart Cards and Payment Security,” will be held Feb. 3 at 1p.m. ET.
