Southern Connecticut State University now offers the Student Advantage option with its university Hoot Loot card for an extra $35, stated by NBC Connecticut.
With the Student Advantage Card supporting tons of online, national, and local vendors, students can save money every day on food, travel, school supplies and more. This Valentine’s day student card holders can visit 1-800 Flowers.com and receive 20% off a purchase for their sweetheart. For students who like to call home all the time, T-Mobile cuts students cardholders a break with 12% off recurring charges.
“For students living on campus, or even commuters for that matter, if they’re living in the area, to go to local vendors and receive discounts they wouldn’t necessarily have access to, it’s giving them more bang for their buck,” said Mark Waters, Director of Financial Business for SCSU.
“I’ve used them for software and different computer programs and for clothing and travel discounts, too. It really comes in handy when you’re a student,” said Kash Ziemba, a SCSU junior.
