SPYRUS reports FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certification

SPYRUS Inc. has received a third FIPS 140-2 Level 3 verification for its Hydra Privacy Card, the first and only commercial product of its kind. The USB encryption devices have already received the certificate 1179 for file-based encryption and certificate 1320 for the SPYCOS crypto core, as well as the certificate 1394 for the XTS-AES sector-based encryption devices.
The FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validation however makes SPYRUS is the only vendor to execute the entire set of Suite B cryptographic algorithms across all product lines. The Hydra PC Personal Encryption Device protects your data in a multitude of storage options. For instance the device secures on the drive, on your PC, or in the cloud. This is possible because every file is encrypted with a unique AES-256 bit CBC key.
SPYRUS’s Suite B was designed to serve as a cryptographic base to protect and securely share both unclassified information and most classified information. A partnership with Microsoft resulted in Suite B support to Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 2008 Server.
