Stolen laptops place students and teachers at risk, Illinois

A pair of laptops containing the personal information of hundreds of special education students and their teachers was recently stolen from the Illinois State Board of Education, according to NBC Chicago.
According to district officials, approximately 1,800 students had information on the stolen laptops including Social Security numbers. Teacher information was also stored on the laptops, although officials are still trying to determine how many staff members are affected.
