Stollmann and ARS Software have announced a partnership to develop a simple, secure method of pairing Bluetooth devices via NFC.
According to the partners, NFC can allow two Bluetooth devices to pair by simply touching them together, thus eliminating the need for user input and making the process quicker, easier and more bug-proof.
The solution comprises ARS Software’s NFC secure simple pairing out-of-band (OOB) application for the iAnywhere stack and Stollmann’s chip-independent NFC software.
Based on NFC Forum standards, Stollmann’s software enables all operating modes, such as reader/writer, peer-to-peer, and CardEmulation, for a wide range of applications. When combined with iAnywhere, the NFC stack allows for Bluetooth solutions for the automotive, mobile device, access control and health care industries, according to the partners.
