Suprema, a developer of biometric solutions, has announced that its RealScan-F palm print scanner has received certification from the FBI for the agency’s Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System Image Quality Specification Appendix F standards. The certification is a big help to the scanner as it is required if it is to be used by the FBI and many other government agencies.
Aside from the company’s claim of the RealScan-F having the fastest image scan rate available, they also purport the scanner’s user-friendly design, small footprint and customizable biometric collection makes it suitable for use with law enforcement either as a mounted device or in a mobile solution.
The palm print scanner, which can also capture writers’ palm, four finger slaps, two and single finger flats and single rolls, joins a number of other FBI certified devices from Suprema.
